TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

          The teacher’s day celebration was held on 5th September in K.K.Wagh Senior College Chandori. It was organized by institute show their gratitude toward teachers. Teachers day is celebrated in India in order to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was a staunch believer of education and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a Teacher. When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the president of India in 1962, he was approached by some of his students and friends and requested him to celebrate his birthday as Teachers day. In reply, Dr. Radhakrishnan said, “Instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teacher’s Day”. The request showed his love for teaching profession. From then onwards the day is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India. The entire department was enthusiastic and excited for the celebration right from the beginning of the day

      The Inaugurator, Prof. Ashok Sonawane Professor , K.T.H.MCollege Nashik while addressing the students said The relationship between a teacher and a student cannot always be put into words. Teachers nurture, guide, scold and also help you become the person you are. It might not be the most easy relationship to build, but once formed, it can sustain several hardships. More often than not, a teacher alone can affect lives than many other people combined, and it is no different for celebrities. Some have always been very vocal about their teacher’s contribution to their lives.

The Principal of the College, Dr.R.K.Datir in his presidential address the Students that ‘Everyone should focus on research ,should develop their softskills Therefore he advised the students to keep themselves involved in knowledge hunting.
